They are the most fantastic combination for Autumn in this delicious home baker’s sheet cake that uses a can of premium apple pie filling mixed into the batter. This addition makes the finished cake extra moist with a creamy texture. The cake will stay moist for several days. We serve this cake with a caramel sauce that is lightly infused with orange and just a salt hint.
Cake:
1 ½ cup Panhandle Milling Kamut® All Purpose Flour
½ cup Sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 can Lucky Leaf Brand Premium Apple Pie filling
3 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
Salted Caramel Orange Topping:
1 cup Kraft Caramel Bits
½ cup Heavy Cream
1 tsp orange zest
½ tsp sea salt
