Whole Wheat Jam Crumble Bars

3 ½ cups Panhandle Milling Whole Wheat Flour

1 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1/2 cup melted butter

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla or rum extract

Filling:

1 ½ cup jam (any flavor)

Directions:

  • Combine the first six ingredients until crumbly and thick. Add the egg and vanilla and blend into the flour mixture.
  • When thoroughly combined, press half of the mixture into the bottom of a 9 by 13-inch baking pan.
  • Spread jam over the crumble mixture in the pan, then top it with the remaining half of the crumble mixture.
  • Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
